Dear Marc,
the money is going to government and government using it for budget, we are against, that the falcon would be captured (internationally prohibited) and send to people, who made money be oil, which is also nature product.
We need international public to this case and support, actually we have many international so called environmental programs and projects with excellent expert, but nobody argue in this mutter. Very strange and how we can believe for what the projects working on, that is just support to get our natural resources like copper, gold and coal...

I had the same question: where does the money go? I can imagine a falcon is not a particularly easy or safe animal to catch successfully. Personally, I'd be worried about my eyes.

I am also surprised by the price of a falcon. But I wonder how much can Mongolians earn since 10-80 thousand USD is the price sold in Arabian world, according to the report, not the price sold to Arabian catchers.

Wow! $10,000 - $80,000 for a falcon? That sure is an expensive bird. It would be nice if the Mongolian government came up with a program so that environmental projects were funded each time a falcon is sold. I once saw a documentary on Al Jazeera about the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. Also, it was interesting to learn that falcons are the only animal which can be carried onboard a Qatar Airways flight.
